Jordan

We visited Jordan in February 2017 for a Memory Project delivery.   We worked with UNICEF to deliver portraits made by US art students to Syrian children in two refugee camps, and to Jordanian children in three SOS Children Villages (orphanages).    The children in the refugee camps had experienced traumatic life changes and very much appreciated the special and personal gift of portraits, made by students on the other side of the globe!   Same was true for the kids in the orphanages.   You can see a capsule of the Za’atari Refugee Camp portrait delivery at: http://vimeo.com/memoryproject/faceofjoy

To round out our trip we visited some of Jordan’s highlights, including Petra and Wadi Rum.

In March 2018 we did anther Memory Project trip to Jordan, delivering portraits to more than 1000 Syrian children in Za’atari and Azraq refugee camps.  Here is a capsule video of the 2018 delivery:
