These images were taken during two medical volunteer service trips to Malawi in 2009 and 2010. Malawi is the “warm heart of Africa” and that is certainly evident in the friendly people and their eager and ready smiles, especially the children. Malawi is challenged by the AIDS epidemic that has taken the lives of many young adults and left many children as orphans needing assistance. I worked with Ministry of Hope while there, and they are doing a wonderful job supporting children and widows.
